Hi Reign. Thank you for taking the time to ask this question. The Ring Battery Doorbell Plus is not a hardwired-only doorbell, but it can be hardwired if you choose. It comes with a removable, rechargeable Quick Release Battery Pack, so it works as a battery-powered doorbell right out of the box. However, if you have existing doorbell wiring, you can also connect it to your wiring for a trickle charge that helps keep the battery topped off, so you won't need to remove and charge it as often.
