• Yes, but the setup has to be reinitiated - easy because the chime will be id'd as being already part of the system. But I'd consider another chime unless you've always got your phone at hand.

• I suppose as long as you have an electronical receptacle outside it should work. It's all connected to your wifi.

• I think backyard might not be be best place to setup? Perhaps too loud surroundings might wat to place your chime indoor?
