QuestionHello. Do I already need to have the hardware for a floodlight installed before installing this product? Is this still easy to install even if I don't already have hardware hooked up for a floodlight?

- Answer Existing hardware makes it easy for the spotlights to work. If you have no wiring then buy the Ring security cam that runs on battery or solar (floodlights not available)

- Answer No, it retains info and will connect automatically as soon as it is turned on. My flood light camera is installed on switch and connects easily when it is turned off and back on.

QuestionIf I have electrician install my ring security spot light do you have to press a button on it after installation in order to tie it to your wifi and phone? I read on doorbell security camera you have to push button on doorbell before program to phone.

- Answer When it powers on for the 1st time, it goes into set up mode where you can connect it to your wifi from your smart phone. If not, there is button on the camera to put into set up mode to complete the connection.

Question1-When the bulbs blow out, does that mean I would have to buy a whole new light fixture? 2- if you dont buy the subscription, how long do the notifications stay on the app to view?

- Answer Yes, we had our Ring Outdoor Floodlight Cam mounted by an electrician over our garage where a previous light fixture was placed. The lights are LED and come on automatically at night when any motion is detected. You have to set the perimeters that you personally want to monitor on your smart phone by using the Ring App.

- Answer I have about a 40' to 50' range on my Floodlight cam when the infrared lights are used. The white floodlights will come on automatically when they are triggered by motion.

- Answer Lisa, any electrician could install these for you. I am not one, shut off my breaker to the light and swapped out my regular floodlight in a matter of minutes.
