Yes, we had our Ring Outdoor Floodlight Cam mounted by an electrician over our garage where a previous light fixture was placed. The lights are LED and come on automatically at night when any motion is detected. You have to set the perimeters that you personally want to monitor on your smart phone by using the Ring App.
