Thank you for reaching out to us regarding your inquiry. The Ring Floodlight is a motion activated camera. When motion is detected, it will begin to record and stop recording when motion is no longer detected. The Floodlight Cam Wired Plus has Customizable Motion Zones, Live View and Color Night Vision that are controlled from the Ring app. In addition, the Floodlight Cam Wired Plus has a 105db siren at 10 cm (4in).
