WiFi range is dependant on your Wireless Router and installation environment. (More neighbors with internet devices will result in communication bottlenecks / traffic jams with significantly lowered range) In a clean environment, expect up to 150ft of Unamplified, Line of Sight Range. Walls and other construction materials (stucco, cement, aluminum siding, etc) will reduce this accordingly. Motion detection and visible range is similar to what can be seen by the Naked Eye with 20/20 vision.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I had full view of all my neighbors in my culdesac and to keep notifications down I had to move the area on the screen and shrink the size to just set off alarm if anyone came in my yard Ian’s side yard.

This is the optimal height to get the best range for the motion detector. Motion Zones allow you to define a specific area that you want your Ring device to cover while ignoring everything outside that area. By drawing your Motion Zones to cover only areas you want the Ring device to monitor, you can more effectively monitor the area you want, as well as reduce the number of “false positive” motion alerts (such as cars driving by). Here is a helpful article with more information regarding motion detection: https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360021842611-Utilizing-Motion-Zones-With-Your-Powered-Ring-Devices. We invite you to reach out at https://community.ring.com/ if any additional information is needed regarding your Ring Floodlight Cam Wired Plus pre-purchase question.
