As far as I know, anyone with the app and access to your WiFi and password can use it. It's very easy to use.

DO NOT BUY UNLESS YOU DONT CARE IF THE CAMERA MOVES/rotate. Otherwise, shows very nice. How many shared user, not sure. Best Buy geek squad knows. 
Shared Users can do the following:

Activate Live View.
Initiate Two-Way Communication.
Receive doorbell press and motion announcements.
View Event History.
View stored videos through the Ring app.
Turn on and off alerts for their smartphone, tablet, or PC.
Save videos directly to their smartphone or tablet for Ring Smart Lighting.
Shared Users, however, cannot:

Use Alexa to answer and receive alerts when someone presses the doorbell or triggers the motion sensors.
Use an Alexa-enabled device to access recorded video.
Delete videos stored in recent activity.
Add other Shared Users.
Delete devices.
Change motion settings.
Change the Ring device name.
