Hello, Almost all Ring products use wifi (wireless networking) to connect to the internet. If you are able to obtain the wifi network information from the nursing home this device would work for you! Please try again later.Yes this camera will work great, but if you are trying to secretly record there is a click sound when it begins to record I can hear it even with the television on. My kids say I hear everything, lol but the click isn't very loud. I think it's perfect for checking on a loved one.

Please try again later.Yes it would once you set it up you can Control it from you phone to do what you want. it like 30$ a year for one camera or you can get the 100$ a year for however many devices you have, and you don’t have to pay until a month or two after you get it all set up. you can set notifications so when someone comes pass it will let you know.
