Tere are two models: one with no battery and one without battery. You can get one with solar recharging.

This is an indoor camera. What is the use of using a solar power? You must have 120/240 VAC supply. The power adapter output is approximately 5VDC, 2 A, it will not consume too much power.
Finally, YES, you can use the optional mini solar panel, you need to drill a hole on your wall, buy the special power cable and mount the solar panel outside properly so that wind will not destroy the panel.

This device is powered by an indoor power cable, which will provide your camera with a consistent power source. I can definitely understand why you may find importance in a Solar Panel for power, as it's a great source for efficient power. However, if this is regarding a concern with power going out, then it may want to be noted that wifi may also most likely lose connection until power is restored.
