• This does not use a SIM card. Nor does it record or save video do a SD Card or MicroSD card. The only way to save video is up to the Ring.com cloud account, however you will need to pay a monthy fee in order to do that. The cheapest plan is currently $3 a month. If you do not pay a monthly fee for storing video, you can still use the camera as a live camera, and will still detect motion, and give you alerts.
