Audio works well. My mom isn't able to do a few things on her own so I can speak through the camera & turn on music for her on the alexa. I hope that helps. We speak regularly through the cam. I dont know how far one can hear as we have multiple & she lives in a one bedroom apt,, so everywhere is a close radius for us. Good internet is a must.
