want a spare battery so I don't have to have the ring doorbell without a battery while the one I have is charging. My question is if my spare is completely charged how long will it hold a charge? Won't be used until other one needs charged. null

Had my spare charged for 2 weeks and it had 100% when I changed it out. That, by the way, is how long it took the original one to get down to 13%

Like all batteries they will lose some power if charged and sitting. When I am warned that my battery is low. I charge the spare and swap them.

We charged our spare the same day we bought our ring. The spare was charged full. Removed and stored for future use. Ah ha, 2 months later we had to switch it out. It's been in for 2 weeks working well.

Its really tough to say. It depends on how active the camera is. The less activity it sees the longer the battery will last.

Depending on how you have your ring device setup. Mine for example records every movement as far out as it will pickup. Mine is lasting about 5 weeks between charges.

mine lasted almost 45 days on my Ring doorbell 2. I didnt want to keep changing the battery so i purchased the solar charging adapter. The solar panel definitely requires at least 4-5 hours of direct sunlight to keep the battery fully charged. However, i only get about 3-4 hours a day and its been raining so the battery is about 89% today (2 days of rain and heavy clouds). 89% is still great though. It will charge back up to about 95% with todays forecasted sun. Im ok with 90-96% charge levels.

Not sure how long a fully charged spare battery stays charged, but the Ring app tells you the condition of both batteries.
