Just an update, I did buy this and the battery DOES charge within the device. When power is cut to the ring cam, the battery kicks in. When hard wired power is then supplied back to the camera, the battery DOES actually charge within the camera and is back to 100% once the power is cut to the ring cam again
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Fully removed to be charged. I highly recommend buying an extra battery. This the extra will be charged and ready while the other is being used. It also saves from camera "down time"

You can purchase an indoor/outdoor power adapter (sold separately) to connect the Stick Up Cam Battery to standard outlets for nonstop power. You can also connect it to a solar panel (sold separately) to keep your camera charged with direct sunlight. If it is not connected to one of these power sources, the battery will need to be removed for recharging.
