You do not have to have a doorbell to use the cameras... I highly recommend them as well.

Good question! No, you do not need a Ring video doorbell in order to use Ring security cameras. The Ring Spotlight Cam Plus is an outdoor security camera that can be used to capture out-of-sight areas and blind spots. You can set the device up and manage it through the Ring app.
