Battery life depends on traffic. Even with the solar panel in a full sun location it could not handle medium traffic.

The Floodlight Camera is hardwired to the house electrical system.

You are probably talking about the Spotlight Camera. These cameras can carry 2 batteries. I have all of mine either hardwired or connected to solar panels. I don't want to constantly climb ladders to change batteries. I would say that without a solar charger a camera with a single battery should last for at least a month or more. But it really depends on how much it is activated. There are settings where you can control the detection sensitivity and how long of a break the cameras take between events.
