They are bright enough for the camera and you can manually turn on the lights via the Ring App. As far as using it to light up your porch for just hanging out. Probably not best for it. If you want to do that, I would recommend getting the Ring Floodlights to go along with the Ring Cameras. You can even link them together to have each turn on if motion is detected on the other. Plus they are LED and put out more light in my opinion than the camera lights. Good luck!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The lights are bright, my back security spot light, lights up the whole back yard, about 1/3 acre and the regular cam works great as a light.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The lights are bright and can be used as a porch light but you will be recorded
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You cannot use this as a porch light. It comes on when it detects motion, stays on AND records for a period of time, and then turns off.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have five Ring cameras with lights. I have had them for about a month. I am very pleased with them. The lights are pretty bright. I would find them sufficient, but that opinion is subjective. The answer to your question would depend on how much light you need and how far away are the camera(s) from the area you wish to illuminate?
