Yes you can install indoors. Yes you can turn off the spotlight thru the app. No on the continuous recordings, activated on motion or you can go to a live viewing but it is not continuous. Yes it does keep a log of recordings if you purchase the plan.

Arlo Pro has all same features except light, has free 7days of storage and can have external storage added to save videos longer or permanently. Arlo Q allows continuous recording but needs to be powered by usb cable. Both Arlo Systems have much better reviews than Ring Spotlights, I had my spotlights for 1 days and exchanged them for Arlo Pro after multiple malfunctions in first 24hours.

You should be able to install your Spotlight Cam Wired indoors and you are able to manually turn off your Spotlight Cam through your Ring App. Additionally, recording for the Spotlight Cam is activated once motion is detected.
