No. One reason I chose it. Once you purchase the product, there are not additional fees to use the system. There is an OPTIONAL fee to store the videos, which I did opt for. Cost depends on your equipment but is outlined on their web site. You do have a 30 day trial to see if you would benefit from the videos being stored. I hope that helps

It's $3 a month for one camera, and $10/m for unlimited cameras. What that includes is, every time motion is detected it will start recording and save it to the cloud. So you can go back and watch anytime. You do not have to have the service to use the cameras though. It just won't record any history obviously.
