A:AnswerThere are settings to enable specific areas and distance. However, we can see across the street to our neighbor’s front door. It is a great distance for our needs.
A:AnswerHello Crosstrek13,
The Ring Spotlight Cam Wire-free features PIR motion sensors. These sensors detect heat signatures of moving objects in the monitored areas and send a motion notification to your smartphone. This camera works great at eye-level, or slightly higher. At nine feet from the ground, the camera can cover a wide visual area, as well as capture HD video of visitors' faces.
When Spotlight Cam Wire-free is mounted too high, it often gets angled sharply downwards. This can work if you're only looking to detect motion in a very small area, but more often than not results in not detecting approaching visitors or capturing the top of heads when the motion sensors are triggered.

A:AnswerHello Barb,
Great question! Viewing on a TV depends on the set-up that you currently have. Ring is compatible with Alexa Fire TV systems. Connecting Ring Devices with Alexa is a simple process. To accomplish this, you’ll need to add Ring as a skill in your Alexa app. Once this is accomplished, you’ll be able to use a variety of Alexa-enabled devices with your Ring devices. What follows is a list of Alexa-enabled devices compatible with Ring Devices:
Fire TV Cube (1st & 2nd Gen)
Fire TV Stick 4K
Fire TV Stick (2nd Gen)
Fire TV (3rd Gen)
Fire TV (2nd Gen)

A:AnswerThe item can stay outside but you may experience a quick drain on the battery and interrupted service if it is wireless. If a wired doorbell, it may ring if the temperature get really cold.
A:AnswerYes, , for 30 days after purchase you can do that. Once the free 30 days are up you must purchase a protection plan! There are two options for plans and you can decide which one best meets you needs.
