• Must have internet, ring cameras and devices are connected to wifi then bounced to ring servers then to your viewing device. You may want to look for a camera that uses onboard storage "micro SD card" that you can remove to review footage. Maybe eufy or blink.

• For the wired yes you must always have power, but there is a slot in in for a battery which I’m going too install in mines just in case something happens with the power.
