Thank you for reaching out to us with your question. Motion detection range on Ring devices is up to around 30 feet with the motion sensitivity slider at the maximum level. We recommend mounting the device 8 to 10 feet (2.5 to 3 meters) from the ground with a 20-degree tilt for optimal performance.
