If you are experiencing lag time it's due to the location of your camera and your Wi-Fi connection. Go to your app and look at the device health of your camera. If the RSSI number is high 0-99 you need a better Wi-Fi connection. The lag time you are experiencing will cause your camera not record properly. I had to put in a mesh system to bump my signal so that the RSSI number was below 50 due to my router being on the other side of my house. RING customer service can help you troubleshoot this at 1 800 656 1918.
