A:AnswerHello,
Yes it is. The Ring Video Doorbell connects to existing doorbell wiring or runs off the built-in rechargeable battery and is compatible with 802.11 b/g/n WiFi networks operating on 2.4 gHz frequencies. Ring recommends WPA2 Wi-Fi security.

A:AnswerNo. Installed it myself. Once the screws secure it to the base someone will have to have a special tool to remove it unless they rip it out the wall.

A:AnswerInstallation is very easy. They give you all the tools you need, including screwdriver mason bit if you need to drill into brick. They have videos online as well.
A:AnswerYou could use any of them but the lowest cost is going to be the Door cam 1. You would also need to get wither a doorbell chime or Echo device to hear the doorbell, they are both about the same price so I would go with the Amazon Echo since you can do a lot more than just use it as a doorbell chime. Hope this helps.
A:AnswerIt picks up motion, so it will start recoding and send you a text when any motion is detected. You are able to set the sensitivity, so you will not get notified every time a car drives by if you don’t want to receive notifications that often.
A:Answerit can work as a standalone doesn't have to hook up to any security system but there is a subscription fee to their service if you want to save your recordings to their cloud and the prices are pretty fair

A:AnswerBy itself, NO however, if you get a ring door bell chime or any Amazon Echo device then yes. I would go with the Amazon Echo since you can do a lot more with it than just use it as a doorbell chime. You will also get an alert on your phone when someone rings the doorbell (even without the chime or echo).
A:AnswerThe new ones have a better screw and screw drive. Very basic phillips screwdriver will work. The older one I have uses the special tool. I lost mine as well; but I have a set of little tools that have the same head and it works fine. I'm not sure of the size. I bought a pack of 5 various sizes for under $4.00 and one of them worked. A friend of mine contacted RING and they sent her a replacement. There Customer Service is GREAT.
