Almost all Ring products use wifi (wireless networking) to connect to the internet. Ring Video Doorbell (2020 release) is compatible with b/g/n wifi networks operating on 2.4 GHz frequencies. High speed internet is recommended for best performance of the device. If you are concerned about the wifi not being strong enough for your ring to function how you want, consider installing their Chime product, which is sold separately. Install the Chime in an outlet in your house as close to the Ring product as possible and it should boost functionality. Look into their Chime product and read the features and how it affects wifi signal and Ring functionality.

As for wifi signal, I have the cheapest wifi/internet speed Spectrum offers and my modems/routers are all in the room nearest to the Ring and I have excellent functionality and no issues at all. Consider moving your modem/wifi router closer if possible to the Ring.

I guess you need to purchase ring doorbell chime pro. It alleges WiFi strength. Read it.
