“Does my wifi need to stay on 24/7? In other words, if I turn my wifi off at night, would overnight images still be saved by the device and then uploaded to the cloud when I turn the wifi back on in the morning (assuming I subscribe to the cloud service)?”

Hello, NewToThis. Good question! Yes, the Ring Video Doorbell needs a consistent and reliable wifi source in order to capture motion events and send notifications to your mobile device. If there is not a wifi connection, the device will not record events or send notifications.
