No. We had to remove bracket to install the new doorbell. The two are not the same.

Great question! The original Ring Doorbell and the Ring Video Doorbell 2020 Release are two different sizes. A new bracket is included within the packaging of the Ring Video Doorbell 2020 Release, but new holes may need to be drilled in order to install the device.
