Do I remove the film off of this battery on the ring before I install it?

Good question. You will want to remove any plastic film on the device. This is in place for protection during the shipping process. Leaving it on could interfere with the quality of the video you see.

The best quality of audio & video would be to remove it.

The film blurs the video quality.

The film muffles the audio quality requiring you to yell when speaking and turn up the volume as if you were hard of hearing.
