All of the Ring devices work independently from one another, however, you are able to monitor all of your Ring devices from the same Ring App. This means that you can check your device activity from the same phone as long as you are logged into your Ring app.

It should work for both as Ring has multiple home video products, some require an electric power source, others operate on a rechargeable battery
