Hello Maddie, To clarify, the Ring Doorbell Wired can not be powered by a Ring Solar Panel. It does require a existing doorbell system, Ring plug-in adapter or transformer for power supply (10-24 VAC, 40VA max, 50/60Hz, or 24VDC, 0.5A, 12W. It is not compatiable with halogen or garden-lighting transformers. Ring Community was launched to help deliver the most current news and educational information to our neighbors.
