“You said it doesn’t work with the existing chime in the home, and you needed to purchase a ring chime for it to work. But question I have is do you really need to get the ring chime, because won’t your phone go off if the button is pushed?”

We design our Ring doorbells, and their compatible components, to provide options to our customers as they see fit for their home environment. One great part about the Ring Chime is that you may relocate the device to different outlets in your home, providing you with an even richer customization of your home security. The Ring App is designed to notify you of an alert, if you choose to enable these notifications. I love having the feature that allows me to see who is at my door, as well as hearing an alert through my Ring Chime, if I don't have my phone near me at that time.
