  • QuestionIf you have multiple doorbells, Do you need a separate chime for each unit?

    Asked by Everything.

    • Answer Hello Everything, This is a great question, as it's important to have accurate information when customizing your Ring system to suit your needs. The Ring Chime may be connected to multiple devices and will chime when a motion is detected, or the doorbell is pressed. If you would like the devices to chime separately, or with distinct tones, you may want to employ a separate chime for each Ring Doorbell. Each home environment is unique, and I want to ensure you have your Ring security set up exactly to meet your safety needs. • QuestionWhat kind of wall plate do we need for this door bell??

    Asked by Zaik.

    • Answer Hi Zaik. Good question. No, you do not need a wall plate to install the Ring Video Doorbell Wired. The Ring Video Doorbell Wired is designed to be installed directly on the wall. On stucco, brick, or concrete, use a 1/4" (6mm) masonry bit to drill holes in your wall, then insert the included wall anchors. If you're installing it on wood or siding, you can skip this step.
