A:AnswerHello Everything,
This is a great question, as it's important to have accurate information when customizing your Ring system to suit your needs. The Ring Chime may be connected to multiple devices and will chime when a motion is detected, or the doorbell is pressed. If you would like the devices to chime separately, or with distinct tones, you may want to employ a separate chime for each Ring Doorbell.
Each home environment is unique, and I want to ensure you have your Ring security set up exactly to meet your safety needs. A:AnswerHi Zack,
At this time, the Ring Video Doorbell Wired does not work with the Google smart hub tablet. It can be paired with the Ring Alarm base station to expand your Ring of Security.

A:AnswerHi Tay,
The all-new Ring Video Doorbell Wired requires an existing doorbell system, Ring plug-in adapter or transformer for power supply (10-24 VAC, 40VA max, 50/60Hz, or 24VDC, 0.5A, 12W). This doorbell does not have an option for battery power. However, if you require a battery powered doorbell please check out our Ring Video Doorbell (2020 Release) or Ring Video Doorbell 3.
If you have any additional questions, please reach out to us at [email protected].
Thank you,
Danielle from Ring

A:AnswerHi Jas.
Thanks for asking. The Ring Video Doorbell Wired is a wired video doorbell that offers 1080p HD video with night vision and two-way audio with noise cancellation. The Ring Video Doorbell Wired requires an existing doorbell as a power supply but does not sound your existing chime. Visit our support center for more information.

A:AnswerBuy the wireless ring . It is battery operated and you can take it down periodically to charge. I live in an apartment. Works great without the wired doorbell.
A:AnswerHello Sell,
The Ring Video Doorbell Wired can be powered by either an existing doorbell system, the Ring Plug-In Adapter, or connected directly to a transformer for power(10-24 VAC, 40VA max, 50/60Hz, or 24VDC, 0.5A, 12W).

A:AnswerHi Zaik.
Good question. No, you do not need a wall plate to install the Ring Video Doorbell Wired. The Ring Video Doorbell Wired is designed to be installed directly on the wall. On stucco, brick, or concrete, use a 1/4" (6mm) masonry bit to drill holes in your wall, then insert the included wall anchors. If you're installing it on wood or siding, you can skip this step. For more information, visit our support center: https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360054984332-Installing-Ring-Video-Doorbell-Wired.

A:AnswerHello RingDoorbell,
Great question! The Ring Doorbell Wired uses an included jumper cable to bypass your home’s internal chime kit, so it will not ring inside. If you’d like audio notifications inside your home, you’ll need to purchase a Ring Chime to hear them.
All of Ring’s other battery and hardwired doorbell models (Ring Doorbell Pro, Ring Doorbell Pro 2, Ring Doorbell (2020 Release), Ring Doorbell 3/3+, and Ring Doorbell 4) will work with in home chime kits and AC current doorbell transformers. Here is a full product comparison which details power requirements for each device: https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/115004668746-Ring-Video-Doorbells-Product-Comparison.

A:AnswerAs of october 19, 2021, my Samsung smart TV does not have/support the Ring app. I'd guess a smart TV using the an Android system is the only system sure to work right now. (Roku also lacks the app.)
