The wired doorbell does not have a battery. You would need to get the battery operated doorbell.

No, the Ring Wired Doorbell Plus does not have a battery, it requires requires a transformer (included in some regions): 16-24VAC, 50/60HZ. The Ring Battery Doorbell Plus, Ring Battery Doorbell Pro, and Ring Video Doorbell (2nd Gen.) all have batteries and are designed with the ability to be hardwired. Unlike a hardwired Ring doorbell (e.g. Wired Doorbell Plus), a battery-operated doorbell does not use the electricity generated by the hardwiring to power its regular operations. Instead, it uses the provided rechargeable battery to detect motion and generate a Live View. The charge from the hardwiring supplies a trickle-charge to the battery.
