• Yes it will work on your tv. When you get a 4K player you will have the HDCP ready because this cable has HDCP

• HDCP 2.2 is not relevant to the HDMI cable. It is a virtual handshake between the video source and your Tv. The HDMI cable just carries the signal. As long as both your Tv and device are HDCP 2.2 compliant, this cable will carry your 4K signal with no issues,
