• Assuming your laptop isnt 4k at 144hz it can handle it no problem. this cable is 18 gbps, i believe it caps out around 120hz at 4k. 144hz at 1440p would be no problem.

• As long as your computer and monitor are both capable of producing the same refresh rate, and they each have at least a HDMI 1.4 port or up, than yes this cable will do the trick.
