This Rocketfish splitter does nothing with the resolution of the signal, all this device does is take in an HDMI signal and split it into two identical signals. If one of your TVs is only capable of displaying a 720 signal, your source device would have to be set to 720 so both TVs receive a compatible signal.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Unit is designed to split two sources to one output. If you get the unit to split in this fashion it would have to use one of the TV's as a source. If the source TV is transmitting 1080p then it will transmit straight through to the other. You would need the splitter on the TV that has the 1080P capability however, if the second TV only transmits 720 it will never transmit anything more than that. You would be best to tram=no it the two signals through a receiver that is at least 5.1.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I dont think it should make a difference. All that it does is splits and transfers the signal it receives. Its up to the tv set to decide what quality to display. With some strong hdmi cables it wont make a difference. It'll transfer anything you feed it as long its 1080p capable. I had 1080p sony tv and a 720p projector being fed by the same ps3 and my tv displayed 1080p and the projector did the 720 without me having to change anything.
