“I'd like to control multiple monitors with multiple switches & have them all switch between different sets of inputs, but grabbing 3-4 remotes to switch each individually would defeat the purpose. Would multiple be able to be controlled by a single remote”

You can switch to multiple inputs with the one remote that comes with it. It's nice because the input you select lights up.
