if your cable box or whatever you have for viewing cable has this port on the back of it I highly recommend you up to this cable. The reason being is because it can send information from your box to your TV at a much faster rate of speed then a standard cable can. This could mean better color/picture, better sound, overall better quality. Now it is not a necessity but I highly recommend you buy one and use it if your cable box or whatever you use has the optional space for it

You will need it if you are using a cable box, from somewhere like DirecTV or some place that places a cable box in the home.

I recommend you do use this hdmi cord for your cable. I didnt realize how poor quality my old hdmi cord was.now my tv shows pop off the screen ,as if the characters are here in my living room. It makes a big difference.

If you have a cable box with high DEF channels yes it’s worth the purchase. If you do not have the high definition channel package with you provider then I wouldn’t purchase.

Don't be conned by super expensive cable marketing.
