• This isnt the cord you want for an 8k tv. Check your hdmi ports from your tv to your device and if its compatible with hdmi 2.1 get one of those.

• It depends... i run all my feeds through my stereo receiver. That way, I only need one HDMI from the receiver to the TV and, I can get the stereo surround sound with any device. If you connect each one separately, you'll need one for each device & may be limited by the number of connections on your TV, or have to swap out cables to change devices.
