• This cable works with most HDMI enabled devices.

• This cable is HDMI to HDMI. If your laptop has an HDMI port and you have a Monitor with an HDMI input then this will work just fine. If you don't have a HDMI on both units then you'll need something different. All depends on what the laptops video card has for ports ie. HDMI, USB, SERIAL this combined with whatever the input is on the Monitor determines what you need for cabling.
