“Can this device be safely installed above a corner fireplace mantle?”

• I have this mount above a corner fireplace that had a large cavity designed for a tube TV. I mounted a solid hardwood board across the caving and fixed to the studs on either side using angle brackets. The mount is bolted to the board (nuts and bolts rather than just lag bolts) and is working fine. I’m using it with a 55 inch Samsung TV.

• I am sure it can,so long as the wall is offset and long enough to accommodate the length of the bracket mount as well as the length of the TV.

• Of course but I Don't recommend mounting it inside of the Fireplace I hate the smell of burning plastic
