Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You will not have any interference from the couch and it doesn't seem to interfere with the house wifi. Mine goes through a couch and a wall and also through a floor. However, there is a loss of output even when the units' volume is at maximum. It's not a great amount but it is there. Naturally providing more output at the amplifier does increase its output, but your other speakers also increase. Hope this helps.
