I added surround back speakers to my family room home theater setup, and did not want additional cables. This small combo was veary easy to setup and both units connected between them in a few seconds (I have a Spectrum wireless router). The transmitter unit is conected to the receiver speaker terminals and some 15 feet appart from the amplifier part and do not have a direct visual line. I keep the amplifier unit's volume at its max setting and run the calibration from the receiver. Great product with a very convenient price. It punches above its weight.

I was going back and forth between this and the Amphony wireless kit. I ended up going with this one from the reviews. I plugged them in and they worked right out of the box so I did not have to connect them. It works great connected to my klipsch R-51M. The reviews saying the volume is to low did not give me an issue. I actually had to turn them down some to match the sound then I did a sound calibration with my AVR. I am using to thick speaker wire (10awg) for these but I trimmed the wires a little to make them fit. The units themselves are plasticky and cheap feeling but I'm ok with it if the wireless and amp out work great, which they do. They both have power switches on the units but unless you physically turn them off they stay on all the time. I have had no issues in my first week with it at all. I have had no connection issue or it fighting my wifi.

I was looking for speaker wire for extra set of speakers to achieve 7.1 sound and found this item. Figured I would try it and worse case would return it. So far very happy with this as we didn’t to want to run speaker wire behind couch as it would be visible. prior to this my rat speakers were on either side of couch which made for a distorted surround sound since they were too close to the couch due to a lack of floor space for optimal surround sound. With this addition the 7.1 surround dispersed sound better throughout room using this device and an extra set of rear speakers. Everything sounds better and I’ve tested the speakers between each movie and haven’t ran in to any issues with the transfer to these speakers with this wireless device. I’ve given this a four star rating as I paid full price and it hasn’t gone on sale for price matching yet and they are working too well for me to bring myself to return them. Yes I would recommend as a wireless rear option.

Finally opened up the kit today, 6/30/20 only to find a plastic button on the back of the sender broken. Essentially it cannot clamp down to hold one of the speaker wires down. Sorely disappointed. Shame on me for not checking it sooner as it's the first open-box product here that has let me down.

Works better than my previous Sony S-Air which it replaced (old receiver died, Sony no longer makes S-Air). Able to get more than adequate volume from my rear speakers without the need to run wire. The package contains 2 ft wires for connecting the sending unit to the AV receiver so I tried to find the dimensions of the sending unit to see if it could sit on top of my AV receiver without blocking the ventilation grill. Yes, it could. The sending uinit is 5” wide, 3” deep, and 1.5” high (see photo). The enclosed 2 foot wires are pretty thin and is likely suitable only if your AV receiver has the spring loaded clips for attaching the surround rear speakers. But at least the ends of the 2 ft wires are already stripped. Both sending and receiving units have the spring loaded clips for attaching speaker wire. Set up was easy and intuitive - but the instructions are pretty clear if you need them. Just be sure you read the part about ensuring the two units are communicating with each other. A solid blue light on each unit means link established. Blinking light on either of them requires using the connect button on the sending unit to establish communication. Because the units need to communicate with each other, best to not try to stuff the units out of sight. Also, works better if the volume knob on the receiving unit is turned all the way to high and to then let your AV receiver control the volume.

Setting up my Surround Sound Theater System Samsung TV; Klipsch Speaker System driven by a Marantz Cinema 60 Amp! When it came to the Bookshelf surround sound speakers to go in the back of the room (25' X 25') I sure did not want to run exposed speaker wire or try to hide in/under the base boards! The Tech said he had a wireless rear speaker kit in the truck and he hooked it up and I have never looked back! Great answer to a standard problem in surround sound systems! In the photo below, these bookshelf speakers are 25' across the room from the Marantz AV AMP!

Took a shot at using this to avoid having to run speaker wires to the surround and height speakers. I had no idea of this would work in my situation, but have to say, I’m impressed. Setup took maybe 3-4 minutes, ran the test tone calibration from our receiver and away we went on our movie night. Highly immersive, had to run the volume on this unit at full to match up well with my existing setup, but no clipping or distortion at all. Glad i found these

I have been frustrated for years by not being able to successfully run speaker wire across my living room to the rear speakers. I tired several other options, some that were pretty expensive, and they really did not perform nearly what I could get with speaker wire. Meaning I would hook up one rear wireless and the other to wire. Then I picked up the Rocketfish Wireless Rear Speaker kit. It sends a wi-fi signal that is superior in quality. I first test it up by hooking it to a portable radio speaker out puts and it sounded much better than the radio speakers. Setting this up was very easy. There is a handy volume knob on the back of the receiver to adjust the level. As a troubleshoot. When hooked it up there was not sound. I had to go into my receivers menu and set it for 5.1 output. It had been set for 2.1 I am strongly considering getting a new receiver now that is 7.1 and getting a second Rocketfish Wireless Receiver Kit for that.

The house we moved into a few years ago based on it's layout and finished basement, didn't allow me to wire up my rear surround speakers. My HT system is an older Sony 5.1 'all in one' setup, the rears aren't anything big for speakers. This rocketfish wireless system was a quick and easy setup. Hooked everything up per the directions, set the gain knob on the rear amp box about midway, ran the calibration routine on the receiver and bada bing bada boom it just plain works. No muss no fuss. I've seen other reviews that mentioned snap crackle pops coming from it, and having to turn it on every time, I've had NO issues like that. Both units have physical power switches, and I haven't heard a hint of a 'bad' noise come from them. When the HT system is powered off, and the rocketfish transmitter and receiver are still on, I hear NO hum or static or any type of noise coming from the rears. This is a good system, drives my surrounds speakers just fine. I only wish I had bought this when we moved in.

This wireless rear speaker device is the best. If you don't want to pay and deal with a bit of construction placing your rear speakers in the ceiling or have the ugly sight of speaker wire running across your floor this Rocketfish wireless rear speaker device for 5.1 surround sound system is worth the money and time to complete your stereo room. I definitely recommend purchasing the Rocketfish for the sound quality, the Aesthetics and the ease of making your rear speakers wireless.

Where wires are not the best option...

I have always enjoyed having a fairly large flat panel TV on the wall in our living room for casual viewing. And with a nice entertainment console below it, I could easily run a center with left/right main speakers and conceal the connecting speaker cables with no problem. But running exposed wires around the base boards or under rugs was going to cause a problem for placing a pair of rear channel speakers on either side of the main couch opposite the TV since a fireplace sits along one sidewall and the other is open to a hallway. That is where having a wireless speaker kit like this one can be most helpful. This system includes two relatively small and unobtrusive matched units. You will need to have AC power at both ends to make this work. I fortunately already had an extension cord run under the couch for two end table lights. Setting up the wireless sending unit to the main AVR unit up front was very simple. You should be aware that this system replaces the physical wire you'd normally use for connecting two rear channel speakers. There are no RCA connections on the back, only speaker cable terminals. So I connected speaker wire from the rear channel speaker terminals on my AVR to the left and right speaker terminals on the back of the wireless sending unit. I then placed it on top of my subwoofer that was nearby, facing the couch (NOTE: the system comes with two very short lengths of speaker wire. I highly suggest you plan to have enough of your own speaker wire as you will need it to connect the back speakers as well as the front to the respective units). Next I placed two speakers I already owned for the rear channels on either side of the couch and connected them with speaker wire to the receiving unit that I placed under the couch. Finally, I connected both the sender and receiver units to AC power. Turning both units on I found that they both immediately connected and began glowing with the blue power light lit on both of them that meant they were operational and ready to go. The instructions were very simple to follow so it was a pretty painless install process. The last thing I had to do was determine how high to set the power/volume on the receiving unit. This is not a particularly powerful system, but it has plenty of onboard power to drive almost any pair of rear channel speakers for most applications. Since my AVR has a room calibration system on board, I turned the power control knob all the way up on the receiving unit so it could get all the power it should need for our room size (about 15 by 20 room). I then managed the overall speaker volume of each speaker through the calibration process at the AVR. So far it has been a couple of months of continual operation and the system has worked perfectly. The signal is rock solid between the two units, with no dropouts. I am very pleased with how dependably this wireless system has performed especially based on my experiences with other wireless speakers. I have no regrets at all with this purchase. It is a great option if you cannot run an actual solid wire connection for your rear channel speakers.

After four years in my apartment I finally decided I should set up my surround sound system. Upon pulling it out of the storage container I immediately remembered why I didn't set it up when I moved in. What do I do with the rear speaker wires? I have all hardwood floors in my apartment. I would have to get a very large rug to run the wires under, not a solid decorating option, or so say's my girlfriend. Running the wires along baseboards and door frames is out too. A Google search came up with the Rocketfish Wireless Rear Speaker Kit. I read the reviews, very mixed opinions, seems you either love the kit or hate it. The price was right so I decided to try them. If they didn't work it's only a short trip back to Best Buy to return them and I've been living without surround sound for 4 years already. Bought them online and picked up at the nearest Best Buy. Simple instructions, just hook up the transmitter to your system and hook the speakers up to the receiver. Power and concealment was easy for me as there is an outlet behind my couch and I hid the receiver under the couch. Once everything was set up, followed the steps to pair the devices and voila, I had sound! Set the volume on the receiver and then adjusted using my Surround Amp. Tested everything using the Blackhawk Down DVD. Truly brought the battle into my living room. (Warning: It's probably not a good idea to test a surround sound system this way at 3:00 am. My neighbor was not happy) I am a happy camper and my girlfriend still speaks to me since I don't have wires strung through out the living room. I highly recommend.

I installed the Rocketfish receiver and transmitter per instructions with the rear speakers 15 feet away from the stereo receiver and was totally surprised at the sound. The rear speakers produce a good loudness level and there is no noticeable delay. There is a volume dial on the receiver to adjust the volume level for the connected speakers. I tested this setup listening to music and as surround speakers watching movies and was very impressed with the performance in both scenarios. I was hesitant to get this at first because of the price but because of the ease of setup and performance, have totally no regrets.
