Does the soundbar have speaker out jacks for rear speakers? This device is very simple. It is designed to take the rear speaker output from your main amplifier and send it to a receiver across the room. The unit's receiver has typical speaker jack for the rear speakers. You could probably use any reasonable length speaker wires - but I'm sure how/where you're planning for them. The two ~2 foot wires contained are for connecting the sending unit to your main amp which prob is what you want to do anyway. You must supply your own wire for the two destination / rear speakers attached to the receiving unit.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.the wire between your receiver and the sender can be short but the wire between the sender and the actor that goes to your speakers can be more than a hundred feet and you will get an amazing good sound it's pretty amazing if you won't have any problems even if you have walls in between your receiver and the other unit
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Your soundbar would have to have speaker inputs for surround speakers. You can use other speaker wire.

I suppose your plan is possible, but it doesn't seem likely. The Rocketfish connects the usual way: pos/neg wire set for each rear surround speaker...so four wires total for the transmitter and four for the receiver...that is, four wires into the transmitter and four wires out of the receiver. If the JBL connects with two pairs of pos/neg wires, then it would work, but I suspect not, based on the write-up online. You'd be losing the HDMI connection option, which offers better sound fidelity by far...as well the functionality of syncing and volume control, maybe even sound tailoring. As for wire length, greater length means more signal loss, which equates to lower max volume, but also lower fidelity...not a small concern. You can offset greater length by using higher quality wires,..low oxygen, multi-stranded, gold plated terminals. Ultimately, it's a matter of preference, what you're willing to accept. Remember, a chain is only as strong as its weakest link, so if you have great components that you paid many dollars for, don't limit them by applying a cheap connection.
