As long as you have a hdmi connection for it. This unit does not have composite connections which is common to the older televisions.

Yes. I would think so. My TV is a six-year-old Sony Bravia, LCD. It works perfectly with my TV. I don't have any problem so far. I used it for Netflix and Amazon prime. I purchased this product about two weeks ago. Hope this helps.
