Once you buy the initial roku the only thing you pay is for whatever service you want Are you sling which is $35 a month but you can get a lot with just the roku

There's no monthly charge for having the ROKU. The only monthly charge would be for any apps that require a subscription. e.g. Disney+ or Hulu would have a monthly fee for using those.
