“I have Rotel receiver with BW speakers that turns off for safety purpose when volume goes to 70 . If I buy amp will this stop or do I need receiver with more capacity?”

The A12 easily powers my B&W 684s. I’ve turned it up past the 70 mark a few times without any issues. But that’s pretty loud so I’m not usually up past that. I don’t have a receiver connected. My sources are CDs, digital FLAC files and sometimes iPhone via Bluetooth. I’m really happy with the A12. Hope this helps

However there is no intent that the unit shuts down when you turn it up to that maximum level. There must be something wrong with your receiver for it to do that automatically.
