I picked this about 2 years ago. I use for a variety of reason (listen to music, watch tv, watch movies). I have it hooked up to my B&W CM10 towers by bi-wiring the speakers. I can't even begin to describe how well this amp has treated me. It is absolutely amazing. I can crank the volume up while holding the sound quality of anything I am doing. The best is when I lower the volume, the quality remains no matter what. If you're buying anything 2 channel from magnolia, it is worth investing in this 2 channel amp as it is the best for its price! I did have one incident after owning it for 13 months. I sent it to rotel, and in about 3 weeks it was back at my house. Still running wonderfully. I would purchase again if I needed too. Highly highly highly recommend over the other amps best buy sells such as the Yamaha, Denon, etc.

Great clarity and a beautiful DAC with the power to back it up! The pre/outs work great and the BT connection is strong and clean! Powers my Bose 601 IV’s, Bose 301 ii, B&W 607’s, B&W 606 S2, and my collection of Klipsch speakers beautifully!

Brilliant Integrated Amp, Not Enough Power

This little amp has a lot going for it. The USB DAC is awesome and the sound is crystal clear with plenty of good low-end heft. The built-in phono preamp was good enough that I didn't feel like I needed an external one. Of note: As long as I was listening at low volumes, the amp performed admirably. However, under high-volume listening, the A12 kicked into protection on me several times. This problem can be solved by connecting an external amp, which I did. I picked up a QSC professional amp that put out around 300 watts a channel and found that the combination of it and the A12 was stunning. The only bummer is, you pay $900 for an integrated amp, you'd like to not have to buy an external amp to go with it. Five stars if I didn't have to connect an additional amp to it, but the thing sounds so good I'll still give it 4. If you have some efficient speakers and don't plan on listening at high volumes, this little integrated is the perfect place to start for beginning audiophiles. Aside from listening to a lot of vinyl through the A12, I also had a Mac Book Pro connected to it via USB, streaming Spotify and lossless tracks off of a hard drive. Can't complain about the sound at all.

The sound I get from this amp is absolutely crystal clear at any volume! I have yet to get any distortion from this amp. It also has just about any connection you will ever need. The only drawback I have experienced is my fault.... It is paired with a pair of Dynaudio Excite X14's which aren't very efficient speakers (85dB); and this amp is only 60watts rms - so I have to turn the volume up to get the loudness I desire sometimes. Even so, I am greatly pleased with this amp; but if you have the extra money, get the A14 at 80watts.

I took my time making this purchase. I compared the unit to Yamaha, Marantz, Denon, Onkyo, Nad, Anthem and other noted integrated amplifiers. The Rotel packed the up-to-date features I wanted most. Another reviewer proclaimed the Rotel as sounding like broken glass. That is absolute nonsense. In fact, the Rotel inspired me for its intrinsically warm sound, despite digital source. The DAC is impressive and so is the signal to noise ratio. The USB port on front of the unit is convenient to use when "hard wiring" to my iPhone music library. Even bluetooth connection is gratifying. This slim compact profile fits nicely in my living room, disguising the awesome performance of this device. I have this unit matched with the new B&W 705 S2s. They are simply made for each other! The level of musical detail allows you to hear individual instruments never heard before. My long search is finally over.

The A12 has a clean, neutral sound and enough power for any moderate to high sensitivity speaker. The Bluetooth input allows me to play CD quality music from my phone or tablet. My favorite feature is a USB input I can use to stream hi-res music from my MacBook Pro. This eliminates the need to buy a streaming device for hi-res music. It also has inputs for a streamer, turntable, CD player or many other devices. The quality and input options are tough to match at this price.

Bought this amplifier to match my Spendor A6 speakers. Could not have been a better match. Transparent, crisp sound, still all setails when playing low and hardly any disturbance when full power needed. Was advised by a Best-buy employee and he hit the nail on the head.

This integrated amp (no am/fm tuner) does what it's supposed to. Reproduce music the way the artist recorded it without distortion. I expect Rotel will exceed their reputation for high end quality and longevity at an affordable price for many.

The A12 is a well made amp with a very pure and honest sound. It has just the right amount of buttons to make routine adjustments such as switching between sources and A/B speakers really quick and easy. The power Is pure with plenty of ability to drive my B&W 684s. I’m very pleased with this unit.

Very simple and straight forward integrated amp. This isn't a receiver so no HDMI, just audio inputs such as optical, coaxial, analog, Phono, etc. It makes decent power for a little amp paired with higher sensitivity speakers and will play loud. The sound signature is on the cool side of the spectrum but has good depth and better sound stage. The Bass section is sharp and fast, not boomy or bloated. Tonally its a little top heavy or bright but has great resolution. IMHO, I'd be carefull pairing this with higher resolving speakers directly. Maybe if you preamp it to a warmer power amp it might fare better. But speakers like high end Klipsch, KEF, or Martin Loagan Motion series may want to consider a warmer source. Paring with Elac, Pioneer, B&W and Sony speakers may be more favorable. An amp like this would provide better detail to a Elac over a Marantz and in return may add heft to the bass and better balance the tone. Although the Wolfson DAC in the amp is considered middle of the road, I like it better than a middle class Sabre or AKM. It shines more in its strengths. I got this as an open box for far less than retail. At full price make sure to consider the competition. Best buy may not sell the better options but it's your $$$. The break down of quality, value, and ease of use is based on retail price.

Buying this unit was a great addition to my stand-a-lone audio setup. The clarity and additional power this unit provides was the best value for my high end theater B&W sound system. I would recommend this unit if you need additional power at a good value.

I would limit the use of this amplifier to smaller room/bookshelf applications. It provides great frequency response; you really hear the highs and the lows pretty well. I'm sure the more expensive and more powerful Rotel amplifiers would do a better job with much larger power hungry speakers, but for my use powering two BW 707s it's perfect. The bluetooth connectivity is a great plus, too. I got it open box for $549. What a deal!

This amp provides clean power, but was a poor recommendation by Best Buy consultant to power KEF speakers. While costing almost as much as the speakers, it does not have enough power to drive them. A lower cost receiver would be a better choice.

The Rotel quality is exactly what I was looking for to pair with my B&W speakers. I like the idea of separate components for a music only systems. Should I choose to add on components, such as amps, CD players, etc. I'm confident I can build onto the A12 with any Rotel product.
