Hey Karen, YES... it's great for that. I've used it for testing out Zoom sessions and Skype and it's incredibly clear for the people on the other end and for you to hear them. Just make sure you use either ear-buds or Closed-Back headphones that are plugged into the G-Track Pro's headphone jack so you don't experience feedback from speakers into the mic. You just need to go into your Zoom, Skype or other online chat program and set up the preferences to be set to "G-Track Pro" for both Microphone & Speakers. Also, like anything else, make sure your room or area is pretty "dead" sounding. This always helps everything sound better. This can be achieved by adding fluffy blankets or pillows around the room or the area where you are using the mic. Hope this helps! -Bobby
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It's the best. Seriously, this is podcast level equipment and you won't regret the quality of the product unless you're easily overcome by buyer's remorse. TLDR if you have the dough, look no mo'!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It is a bit overkill for online chatting. Depending on how you have the mic "shape" set, you will pickup a lot of background noise, (even in Cardioid. So, you will probably need a DAW, (digital audio workstation), that you can load VST plugins with, to filter out the background noise, (fans, lights, whatever). But, I use it all the time with Discord, Windows Cortana, Skype, VoiceMeeter Banana, etc. The problem with VoiceMeeter, though, is that I would prefer to use Kernel Streaming drivers, or at least WDM, but stuck at the moment with the MME drivers... which is working okay.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This mic would work extremely well, Karen. I use it for this purpose quite often.
