“if I have a gas stove/cooktop can I use this microwave in it's ductless form? Or will I need a duct?”

I have the ductless form and a gas range with no issues.

You may use your microwave without a duct since it is already equipped with a built-in vent blower to help properly ventilate the microwave and circulate air.
