The microwave door opens about 110°. Depending on how close the edge of the microwave is to the wall, you might have some issues. But its likely the handle might hit the wall. The microwave works great, the timer is perfect, the vent and light over the stove are excellent.

The Refrigerator section on top is not pull out so yes if you needed to open the refrigerator completely, it does require to not have any obstruction.
